COVID-19 Pocket Mask Patterns and Instructions

After trying 5 different online patterns that weren’t comfortable on me or Sarah, I set out to make a mask that:

  1. Sealed well, as sealing germs in and out is the biggest problem.
  2. Was easy to put on quickly.
  3. Operated as a surgical mask or could have a filter added.
  4. Was reusable and launderable.

Here’s a large and small(child’s) patterns I came up with.

As these are surgical pocket masks, that fit a standard N95 travel mask filter you can buy in bulk on Amazon, (though they’re back ordered through May) so…

Below the patterns are instructions for a double thickness blue shop towel, N93 equivalent filter.
